Position: St. Joseph’s Program Director
FLSA Classification: Exempt, Full-time
Reports to: South Campus Principal

Position Purpose: The St. Joseph’s Program (SJP) Director oversees the health and flourishing of the St. Joseph’s community, providing leadership for faculty and students and cultivating a culture of thriving through the pursuit of academic objectives, behavior goals, and spiritual growth that is richly informed by the Gospel. The SJP Director is responsible for all aspects of carrying out the mission and vision of The Academy through the St. Joseph's of Cupertino Program.
Qualifications
- Master’s preferred or equivalent leadership experience.
- Classical Christian classroom experience preferred.
- Special Education training or classroom experience preferred.
Leadership
- Casts and protects the vision of The Academy and assists in integrating it into all facets of daily life within St. Joseph's.
- Accurately demonstrates knowledge of The Academy, St. Joseph's of Cupertino, Today's ABA Therapy/Dr. Hanley's method, the classical Christian education model, and school procedures/protocols.
- Cultivates a rich St. Joseph's culture that is uniquely classical and Christian even as the program grows.
- Shows careful deference to developmental, behavioral, and neurodivergent needs of St. Joseph's students while creating a culture that is the obvious culmination of loving all things True, Good, and Beautiful.
- Develops and refines the scope and sequence and program development of the St. Joseph's Program, in collaboration with The Academy’s leadership.
- Cultivates, through consistent connection and communication, rich interpersonal culture of trust with students, parents, and faculty.
- Administers discipline/discipleship and other needs that support the St. Joseph's teachers.
- Demonstratesthe ability to work under the direction of and in collaboration with the BCBA and South Campus Principal.
- Collaborates with Admissions to welcome prospective families and incoming students, and serves as the SJP representative for new family interviews, tours, and screenings.
- Exemplifies professionalism to meet a high standard of professionalism, including confidentiality, discretion, and excellent communication skill.
Faculty and Staff Support
- Recruits, hires, and trains (in conjunction with South Campus Principal) St. Joseph employees.
- Leads and shepherds teachers and support staff both professionally and spiritually, and provides support and accountability for teachers, students, and parents when challenging issues arise; clearly documents issues and discipleship/corrective actions taken and oversees communication and feedback given to parents.
- Serves as the “first responder” for intervention needs in the St. Joseph's program.
- Spends time daily in St. Joseph's classrooms to support St. Joseph's staff with recommendations and encouragement.
Administration
- Organizes and leads regularly scheduled St. Joseph's staff meetings and inservice sessions, including RBT training and continuing education as needed.
- Oversees compliance protocol for RBT licensing.
- Schedules weekly BCBA sessions and maintains weekly records of BCBA supervision in compliance with 5% licensing requirement.
- Manages and oversees daily operations within program, i.e.m providing a Daily Plan.
- Reviews and recommends changes to the St. Joseph's handbook and other school policies.
- Acquires coverage when staff are absent, and provides it directly as needed.
- Communicates with parents and address parental concerns.
- Approve timecards for employees; ensure that all absences have been entered by employees and approved.
- Checks and approves each employee's timecard at end of pay period; make sure all absences have been requested by the employee in Paycom and approved.
- Approves/requests PTO in keeping with the circumstances of the employee absence.
Financial
- Works within the confines of the approved SJP budget and recommends changes annually.
- Participates as directed in the fundraising activities of St. Joseph's.
- Partners with business office in identifying opportunities for insurance billing.

Physical Requirements:
- Able to sit, talk, hear and maintain awareness of visitors to the classroom.

- Able to turn, bend, reach and occasionally use a ladder if needed.
