Art Teacher (3rd grade – 11th grade; multi-level)

The Art Teacher should have a love of Christ, a love of his or her students, and a love of classical

education. The Art Teacher will be responsible for developing in each student an interest in and the ability

for creative expression in visual terms, using skills and techniques of artistic expression.

The Art Teacher is to lead students in grades 3-11 in the contemplation of God’s beauty and perfection

through interdisciplinary classes — making a connection to what the students are learning in history, science,

math, or from the literature selections assigned in class. The Teacher will expose the students to the

elements and principles of art and design over the course of the year and encourage their artistic growth.

This work goes far beyond simply importing knowledge and grading exams. We aim to invest in the lives of

our students, partnering with families to nurture the seeds of wisdom and faith that will help them bear fruit

for a lifetime.
