Description
Position Overview:
Veritas is seeking a talented and dynamic Marketing & Communications Manager to lead and execute strategic storytelling, branding, and outreach efforts. This individual will serve as the primary storyteller for Veritas, shaping the voice and image of the school through compelling content, creative design, and cohesive messaging. The Communication and Marketing Manager will guide all departments and divisions in their communications, ensuring alignment with the school's mission and vision. This position is a valuable member of the Advancement Team, serves as the creative manager for the team, and reports to the Director of Advancement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing and communication strategy to enhance the school's brand and engagement.
- Create and manage high-quality content, including copywriting for web, print, LinkedIn, email campaigns, and newsletters.
- Design visually engaging marketing materials using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
- Serve as the creative designer for the Advancement Team, ensuring consistency and quality across all marketing materials.
- Manage and oversee the production of Veritas's annual magazine and the weekly Lion's Roar newsletter.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and leadership to guide and support their communication needs across various platforms.
- Manage the school's website and online presence to ensure consistent, compelling, and brand-aligned storytelling.
- Coordinate with outside vendors and designers when necessary to produce print and digital materials.
- Assist in planning and executing key Advancement events and campaigns, ensuring effective communication strategies.
- Analyze marketing metrics and engagement data to refine strategies and improve outreach efforts.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Strong writing and storytelling abilities with attention to brand voice and messaging.
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and other design tools.
- Experience with website content management systems and other media platforms.
- Photography skills, including capturing high-quality images for marketing materials and events.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.
- A passion for education and an understanding of classical Christian education is a plus.
