Will be responsible for providing high quality, mission-aligned instruction in their particular subject area.  Key skills include careful planning, clear communication, practical wisdom, classroom leadership, strong organization, and the ability to establish a classroom environment characterized by joy, respect, order, wonder, and deep engagement.

Teachers will embody and promote Valor’s classical educational vision, with its primary emphasis on helping students to grow in wisdom and virtue.

Mission & Vision

Valor Public Schools creates the highest quality K-12 tuition-free charter schools, educating the whole person for authentic freedom and a full human life. We will be launching our first school in Austin, TX in August of 2018.  Valor’s educational vision is grounded in the classical tradition, which identifies wisdom and virtue as the ultimate goals of education. Valor students will read and discuss the Great Books, take advanced math and science courses (STEM), study Latin, engage in community service, explore the fine arts, and have the opportunity to participate in extracurricular clubs and competitive athletics. In the classroom, an emphasis is placed on Socratic, inquiry-based teaching approaches. In addition to rigorous academics, Valor is committed to building a transformative school culture filled with joy, respect, and deep engagement.
