Ascent Classical Academy will be hiring an art teacher to teach its Core art program and to work with students taking electives in the upper school. The school will follow the rich art sequence of the Core Knowledge Curriculum in grades K-8, which includes study of art history, of the elements of art, and studio work based on the classic artists. Candidates with a strong background in art history are encouraged to apply.
Ascent Classical Academy of Douglas County, Colorado is a classical charter school that opened with grades K-10 in the 2018 academic year and will grow to K-12 by 2021. The school is affiliated with the Barney Charter School Initiative at Hillsdale College.
