Westminster Academy, located in Memphis, TN, is a JK-12 Classical Christian School with an enrollment of over 420 students.
Westminster Academy seeks an experienced leader to become our Chief Financial Officer, beginning in the late spring of 2021. As an administrative position, the CFO reports to the Headmaster and is a member of the school’s administrative team. The officer is responsible for all financial matters for the school, including tuition management, accounts payable, payroll, monthly reporting, managing a budget in excess of $5 million, and achieving strategic goals set by the School Board and Head of School. The CFO will manage Human Resources for the faculty and staff.
An accounting/finance degree (or other appropriate degree) and experience are required and we seek an experienced user of Quickbooks accounting software and Microsoft Excel. A working knowledge of accounting principles and practices in independent school and non-profit sectors is preferred. The candidate must be skillful in dealing effectively with a wide variety of personal and financial issues, situations, and problems. The candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate with, and respond effectively to questions from, parents, faculty, and visitors.
