DEAN OF ACADEMICS | FULL TIME | FY 2025-2026 | Kennesaw, GA

Northwest Classical Academy seeks a full-time Dean of Academics. The Dean of Academics will support the Principals in overseeing curriculum, instruction, and assessment in all grades. This position reports to the Head of School on NCA’s Kennesaw campus. 

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Support and promote the school’s mission and the principles of classical education.
  • Conduct classroom observations and assist the Lower School Principal and Upper School Principal with teacher coaching and evaluation.
  • Support and promote curriculum alignment and fidelity under the guidance of the Principals and Head of School.
  • Oversee and administer testing, including MAP, Georgia Milestones, PSAT, and AP Exams.
  • Collect and analyze student performance data to identify curricular gaps and improve instruction.

Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree from a fully accredited college is required.
  • Valid teaching certification in Georgia is preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience in classical education is preferred.
  • Experience in a wide range of grade levels from elementary school through high school is preferred.
  • Experience teaching phonics and the Singapore Math curriculum is preferred.
  • Candidates should possess excellent written and oral communication skills.

Northwest Classical Academy (NCA) is a public charter school located in Kennesaw for grades K-11 for the 2025-2026 school year with plans to expand a grade level each year until it is K-12. All Georgia families are eligible to apply; the school is tuition-free, and no entrance testing is required.
