Change the world by training teachers.
Rafiki has 7 teachers colleges in Africa that are training future Christian classical teachers for African church schools. Three more are under development. (we are in 10 African countries: Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Nigeria, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia.
We need educators, or administrators, who have at least a bachelors degree but a masters degree is preferable to go and serve as a missionary and oversee the teacher's college.
The job requires the following skills:
as the Dean of the college you would be responsible to teach the Bible every day to all the students in the program using the Rafiki Bible study.
Also you would be monitoring the progress of the students work, lecturing on specific topics, and ensuring the curriculum is being used. This program really becomes more of a discipleship and mentoring program because the young men and women in these colleges have never had this kind of education or mentoring before.
The Rafiki teachers college (called RICE - Rafiki Institute for Classical Education) is a 3 year Christian liberal arts program with an emphasis on training teachers. Courses include history, literature, math, science, theology as well as pedagogy and child development, art, music and a practicum in our school.
The ultimate goal is to train thousands of teachers across Africa who will then take Rafiki's Christian classical curriculum, Bible study, Bibles and other materials into the African church schools and transform them from the ground up. To raise up a generation of godly contributors for the continent of Africa.
Join us in this mission to disciple the next generation of the world!
Missionaries raise their own support. Initial commitment is 2 years.
