Saint Paul’s Classical School is a ministry of Saint Paul’s Anglican Church, located in Melbourne, FL.
We are launching this Fall and will serve students in grades K-5th. We are a member school of the Association of Classical Christian Schools and the Anglican Schools Association. Please visit our website to find out more: www.SaintPaulsMelbourne.org/classical-school.
Kindergarten and 1st Grade Combined Classroom Teacher (Full Time)
• We will be implementing a Singapore-based mathematics curriculum. Teachers should be comfortable with math manipulatives and interested in developing number sense.
• We will be implementing a phonics program beginning with long vowels. Teachers should be comfortable with decoding and rebuilding words from graphemes and phonemes.
• Literature allows us to experience worlds beyond our own. Teachers should delight in beautiful literature and able to read well in public; kindergarteners deserve teachers who can "do the voices.”
4th and 5th Grade Combined Classroom teacher (Full Time)
• As a new school, Saint Paul’s will be receiving students who were not previously educated in a classical mode. In addition to the curricular expectations of a Kindergarten and 1st Grade teacher, a 4th and 5th grade classroom teacher should be ready to “catch students up” to classical standards.
A successful candidate for either grade will preferably have teaching experience, but must have a passion for classical Christian education, a love for children, the ability to self-direct, and be committed to their own continued professional development. Total annual compensation for Saint Paul’s teachers begins at $42,000; this salary is subject to increase for years worked in the school and if teachers takes on additional duties.
If you know of someone who might be interested, please forward them this information and encourage them to contact us at their earliest convenience.
