Responsibilities
- Advise and direct upper school teachers (grades 7-12) in classical methodology
- Supervise upper school faculty and staff in all aspects of the curriculum
- Oversee student academic progress and handle student discipline issues
- Attend school events and provide support to Athletics Director and Student Government
- Be part of an administrative team, including Educational, Admissions, and Administrative Directors
- Cultivate and maintain a thriving Upper School culture
- Maintain and cultivate alumni relations
- Administrative duties include creating class schedules, reviewing report cards
- Position may include limited teaching at times
Qualifications
- Mature biblical faith, and agreement with school’s statement of faith
- Must have experience/expertise in leadership in classical education at the Logic/Rhetoric levels (Grades 7-12)
- A passion for classical, Christian education
- Strong communication skills, with faculty, parents, and students
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred)
- Committed to professional development for self and other staff
- Love for students at these ages, and a gift for relating to them
- Able to motivate and encourage faculty and students
- Ability to lead in a way that demonstrates God’s grace and truth
