Regents School of Austin is seeking candidates for its position as Head of School.
Regents is a classical Christian school in Austin, Texas, one of the fastest growing and most dynamic cities in the nation and the capital of the state and home to the University of Texas at Austin. Founded in 1992, it is located on a single 84-acre campus in southwest Austin, and today has enrolled within its kindergarten to grade 12 more than 1,000 students from nearly 600 families. The proposed annual budget of the school for 2018-2019 is $18.5 million. Regents has more than 145 faculty and staff.
The Head of School reports to the Board of Directors, which is composed of three members elected by the Regents community, each for a three-year term, and five members elected by the Board.
The Head of School currently manages five division directors who oversee the academic and extra- and co-curricular offerings at the school: heads of the schools of grammar (grades K-6), logic (grades 7-8), and rhetoric (grade 9-12) and fine arts and athletics directors. Another five administrative directors also report to the Head of School who are responsible for advancement, facilities, finance, human resources, and information technology.
The new Head of School will be succeeding a ten-year Head.
Regents is seeking an individual who is a man or woman after God’s own heart with a demonstrated understanding and passion for the classical Christian movement; a naturally gifted leader capable of overseeing a school of our size and complexity in the sophisticated and entrepreneurial environment of Austin, yet with a humble and teachable spirit; and a life-long learner and teacher
