Petra Academy in Bozeman, Montana, seeks a Head of School for the 2020/2021 school year and beyond. The fall of 2020 marks our 25th year. We are an ACCS-accredited school of 180 students, PreK-12, that seeks to sustain our school for the next 50 + years through mission-appropriate growth.
The Head of School will oversee faculty, staff, and operations of the school, reporting to the Board of Directors. Successful candidates will have the following qualifications:
- A passion for and ability to cast a clear vision of the development of students through classical Christian education in a way that will retain existing families and draw in new families
- Proven experience and eagerness to take a small classical Christian school to the next level by increasing the enrollment of mission-appropriate students while maintaining community
- Strong organizational, fiscal, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and maintain trust and effective working relationships with students, parents, teachers, the community, administrative staff, and the Board of Directors
The duties of the Head of School include hiring and overseeing all staff and administration, overseeing financial matters, maintaining the spiritual quality of the school, overseeing recruitment and fundraising, and managing all day-to-day administrative duties – all toward the classical, Christian vision in place at the school.
