Lighthouse Christian Academy (LCA) is a Pre-K through 8th grade classical Christian school located on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. The Opportunity
LCA is seeking a Christ-centered, mission-aligned Head of School to lead our dedicated faculty, students, and families into a new season of growth. As the chief spiritual, academic, and operational leader, this individual will uphold LCA’s mission, steward its vision, and nurture a culture of joyful learning and faithful discipleship.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader passionate about classical Christian education to shape a flourishing community and partner with families in raising children to live for Christ.
Key Responsibilities
Spiritual & Mission-Driven Leadership

Model and encourage gospel-centered living

Guard and promote LCA’s mission, classical pedagogy, and biblical worldview

Foster a school-wide culture of joyful obedience to Christ
Academic & Faculty Development

Oversee classical academic programs (Pre-K through 8th grade)

Recruit, mentor, and support faculty aligned with LCA’s theology and pedagogy

Ensure academic excellence through curriculum leadership and classroom engagement
Operational Oversight

Manage daily operations: budgeting, enrollment, HR, compliance, and facilities

Partner with the Board of Directors on strategic initiatives
-
Implement systems that promote clarity, accountability, and sustainability
Community & Advancement

Serve as the public face of the school to families, donors, and churches

Lead development, fundraising, and marketing efforts
-
Build relationships throughout the community rooted in grace and shared purpose
Ideal Candidate Profile
-
Faithful follower of Jesus Christ marked by integrity, humility, and biblical wisdom
-
Deep commitment to classical Christian education and LCA’s mission
-
Proven leadership in education or ministry (preferably classical and Christian)

Strong communicator with relational and organizational strengths

Bachelor's degree required; Master’s or higher in education, theology, or leadership preferred

Aligned with the philosophy and standards of ACCS and SCL
