Intervention Specialist

We seek a specialist to come alongside our children with diverse learning needs as we partner with parents to raise their children to be all that God desires. The intervention specialist will work with students on individual education plans, assess children’s individual needs, provide teacher training in helping to meet those needs, provide instruction for individual children
and collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals.  Our teachers enjoy children while inspiring them to high standards and the pursuit of genuine Christian faith as every child is created in the image of God.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Spiritually mature Christian with a joyous love for children
• Passion for Christian education and in full agreement with WCA’s mission, philosophy, and statement of faith
• Bachelor’s degree in special education or related field; Master’s preferred
• Ohio Intervention Specialist License
• Experience working with children with varied learning needs, using a patient and nurturing approach
• Strong understanding of classroom instruction and practices with desire to learn the classical model
• Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and staff
• Organizational skills
