Description
Summary: This position is a middle school (6th Grade) and high school (Latin 2) teaching role. For the 6th grade students, instruction will capitalize on their natural tendency to question and test what they are learning and is deliberately structured to encourage development of critical and abstract thinking skills. The students in Latin 2 are in an environment where they are called upon hone their analytical and communication skills. Accordingly, most classes are discussion-based with an emphasis on sound logical and rhetorical principles across all disciplines. These teaching duties may be combined with other responsibilities, depending upon education and experience.
Work Schedule: This is an exempt 40-hour per week, academic year position beginning August 1, 2022, for the 2022-23 academic year. In general, the workday is 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., five days a week for ten months. Exceptions are when the school is closed for designated holiday breaks.
