Position Summary:
The overall purpose of this full-time support position is to help establish and grow
relationships with current and prospective donors and charitable foundations for
the purpose of maintaining and increasing the long-term support of EHA. This
position will work in close collaboration with the Director of Advancement,
Admissions and Communications Manager, and Annual Giving Coordinator in the
advancement office.

Position Reporting Responsibility:
This position reports directly to the Director of Advancement.

Position Requirements/Qualifications:
Anyone who is seeking this position at EHA must:
● Agree with the EHA statement of religious beliefs, mission, vision, and values
● Derive satisfaction in asking for and raising funds
● Demonstrate an understanding and commitment to urban Christian education
including a mature ability to steward cross-cultural relationships
● Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills as well as
telephone manner
● Demonstrate strong interpersonal relationship skills, be relationally gifted,
extroverted, and a good listener
● Demonstrate giftedness in time management and fund-raising
● Be self-motivated in initiating contacts with current and prospective donors
● Be able to work independently and as a team player
● Understand the importance of trust in a relationship and playing an important
role in the EHA advancement culture
● Have administrative experience, solid organizational skills, and experience with
project management
● Hold a bachelor's degree or an equivalent record of experience
● Be willing to commit to the position for at least three years

Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Donor Management
a. Manage a portfolio of 150 donors
b. Steward and solicit current, prospective, and lapsed donors with giving
potential of ~$1,000 to $5,000
c. Share a passion for relationships
2. Charitable foundations
a. Manage grant applications, stewardship, and follow-up reporting
3. Communication
a. Create videos, newsflashes, etc.
b. Contribute towards advancement content
4. Events
a. Coordinate, recruit, and run monthly donor campus tours (shared)
b. Network, host, and follow up with visitors for events on campus
c. Collaborate with advancement staff and volunteers in:
i. Gala: planning as well as sponsorship and table host solicitation
ii. Partner day and Pastor Appreciation
d. Attend networking events
5. General Administrative Duties
a. Share GiftWorks (donor software) management
b. Develop and maintain reports (in GiftWorks, word processing, and
spreadsheets) on progress towards goals
c. Research
6. Churches
a. Communicate with supporting church leadership and cultivating
relationships with new churches (shared)

7. Other
a. Assist a homeroom teacher with morning discipleship
b. Attend weekly advancement meetings and monthly staff meetings
c. Participate in staff training
d. Other duties as needed
