2022-23 Rhetoric School Instructor – 9th Grade Biology and Science Elective
The Rhetoric School Science Teacher will provide classroom and laboratory instruction in 9th Grade Biology and a science elective to students using classical methods and a Biblical worldview in order to prepare students to pursue God’s truth, knowledge, and wisdom and to do so with excellence, diligence, and perseverance.
Essential Requirements: A disciple of Jesus Christ; full and unreserved supporter of the School’s Statement of Faith; Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a related field; three years teaching experience; some experience teaching using classical education pedagogy; mentor comfortable discipling high school students.
Preferred Requirements: Five years teaching experience, ideally, in high school biology; certification in Biology or High School Science; experience with the philosophy of classical Christian education.
Work Schedule: This is an exempt 40-hour per week, academic year position beginning August 1, 2022, for the 2022-23 academic year. In general, the workday is 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., five days a week for ten months. Exceptions are when the school is closed for designated holiday breaks.
