Description

The Westminster School at Oak Mountain is a K-12 classical Christian school in Birmingham, Alabama. Founded in 1999, we have grown to an enrollment of over 550 students, and are seeking a qualified, full-time Upper School Humanities teacher for the 2021-2022 school year. The ideal candidate would possess expertise and experience teaching history and literature from the ancient or medieval time periods.

We are a covenant school that emphasizes partnering with parents as we pursue our vision: "Building Christ's kingdom by equipping students with wisdom, virtue, and eloquence." Prospective teachers should demonstrate passion for their subject area and a desire to see, know, and pursue their students for Jesus Christ. Agreement with our statement of faith, in addition to membership in a local church, is a requirement. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree, in addition to three years or more of teaching experience, is preferred.
