Description
The Habersham School is seeking an Upper School Humanities Teacher for the 2022-23 academic year. Our Upper School Humanities program centers on the Humane Letters, a chronological and integrated course in History, Literature, Philosophy, and Theology. Students read the great books, learning to read carefully, think clearly, and articulate effectively through daily writing and discussion. The truth of Christ is always brought to bear as students seek an understanding of God, the world, and themselves through both reason and revelation. The qualified candidate will have read the great books, preferably at the college level, and will possess a love of learning. Candidates must also have a desire to build mentor relationships with upper school students and work collaboratively with a Humanities Department which is itself a community of learning. A background in discussion based learning or classical teaching is preferred. Email cover letter and résumé to hr@thehabershamschool.org
