languages workshop

About the Workshop

Teaching languages presents a number of distinct challenges: decisions about curricula, methodologies, objectives, and student support complicate every layer of classroom instruction from classroom liturgies to homework and assessments. While the inherent rigors of learning any foreign language but especially classical ones create its own friction, language courses in our current cultural context often run at odds with parent and student expectations. In this workshop, we will spend an hour together weekly discussing best practices with examples of various aspects of teaching languages. There will also be time reserved before and after for round table discussions on topics of interest.

Meeting Date and Time: Thursday, 7pm CST, starting September 8
