About the workshop
Purpose
This program is for anyone serving as a language teacher in a classical Christian school: while some priority may be given to Latin and Greek, the topics are chosen to be relevant to any language classroom.
Structure
As a six session intensive, it will meet weekly beginning the first week of February, 2022.

Professional Development
This session will focus on planning for the year to come before it begins. What professional development opportunities proved the most helpful? Where might those ideas, resources, and activities land in your classroom or year? What planning tools might help capture these projects? What kinds of reasonable goals, tweaks, and additions might we consider making for the coming year? What do we want to change about our classroom procedures that will make the year smoother from the onset? We will take time to consider these questions, offer examples, and begin planning for the year to come.

SCL Cohorts
Cohorts are year-long or multi-year mentorship learning groups led by veteran school leaders with expertise in their field. Groups are limited to 8-10 members - the ideal size to form genuine connections. Access the vital support you need to serve your school with excellence.
Events
Events grant us the opportunity to gather. As incarnational beings, nothing is better than being together. So having the chance to gather with like-minded classical Christian educators is a rich opportunity. That’s why so many of us return to SCL events year after year. Make SCL events part of the rhythm of your year. Click to learn more about our Summer Conference in June, Arete & Alcuin Fall Retreat in October, and Winter Symposium for Heads & Boards in February.
