Westminster Academy, in Memphis, TN, a classical Christian school of 420 students, seeks a part-time Administrative Assistant for the Office of Admission and Marketing. This position will support all admission and marketing activities, including administrative details for applications, scheduling appointments, and maintaining CRM and student databases for Westminster Academy. The admissions assistant represents Westminster Academy to the public; and requires the interpersonal skills of choosing joy, discretion, good judgment, and confidentiality. The assistant will serve as the first point-of-contact for the office of admission and marketing, receiving and screening all telephone calls. The assistant will field in-person and phone inquiries regarding admission to the school including: collecting personal information, disseminating admissions information, scheduling tours, answering questions related to the admissions process and routing more in-depth questions to the Director of Admission.
Additional duties will include updating appropriate spreadsheets and databases, maintaining the public calendar with event creation and ticketing, supporting the school Spirit Shop, and coordinating the preparation and mailing of the welcome packets for new students.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable with IT, enthusiastic about classical Christian education, possess excellent organizational and communication skills, and occasionally be willing to work non-traditional hours. Alumni are strongly encouraged to apply!
This is a part-time position of up to 20 hours per week, as scheduled with the Director of Admission and Marketing. The position starts this summer in preparation for the 2021-22 school year.
