Description

Dripping Springs Christian Academy is seeking a devoted Christian who is called by God to fill the following spiritual and educational objectives:

  • Teach and exemplify God’s Word
  • Impart Christ’s love in education, discipline, and growth
  • Promote excellent academic standards
  • Help develop each student’s potential as uniquely created by God
  • Forward God’s mission for DSCA to partner with parents, staff, and supporters

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Train teachers in Classical methods of classroom practices and instruction
  • Develop Scope & Sequence with Learning Targets
  • Schedule and oversee academic committees for vertical and horizontal alignment, building school culture, and promoting staff leadership opportunities
  • Administer and enforce school policies related to discipline and student attendance
  • Assess new and returning students for academic placement
  • Assist teachers in classroom management, academic plans, behavior plans, curriculum objectives, communications, and grading
  • Publish and communicate academic plans with families and staff based on psychological recommendations
  • Administer, communicate, and track behavior reports to staff and families
  • Develop, implement, and communicate plans for student academic and spiritual growth
  • Assist staff in planning of campus-wide events and programs
  • Participate in the revision and implementation of the campus's emergency evacuation and preparedness plan
  • Mentor and develop plans for students in need of additional support
  • Analyze data and evaluate effectiveness of programs and initiatives
  • Create and support extra-curricular programs and clubs
  • Other duties as assigned by Head of School
