The Theatre Arts Instructor prepares students to proclaim with excellence God’s truth, knowledge and wisdom through dramatic presentations. This includes providing instruction to two distinct student groups: Logic School (6th through 8th grades) and Rhetoric School (9th through 12th grades).
Required: A Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience working with teenagers; proficiency in drama theory and criticism; experience in public speaking and presentation; adeptness with stage management, set design, lighting and audio.
Preferred: A Bachelor’s degree in theatre arts, five years teaching drama in a school setting and a State of Texas certification in drama.
This is a full-time, academic year position. The typical workday schedule is 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Preparations for dramatic performances and Fine Arts Department competitions will typically occur outside of this schedule and may require significant time commitments and travel.
