Description
Providence Classical School is seeking Upper School Humanities teachers that have a strong background in the instruction of literature, writing, and history and demonstrate a love of Christ, a love of their students, a love of classical education, and a love of the Humanities. PCS students study history and literature chronologically, with students studying the whole range of history—from ancient civilizations through the modern period—as they progress through Upper School. Upper School Humanities teachers typically teach both the English and history course for one grade level to facilitate integration of these subjects. Some of our English courses include instruction in rhetoric, so a familiarity with the subject of rhetoric and an ability to instruct students in effective public speaking is preferred.
