Anchored in Christ: Summer Conference Reflections

By July 7, 2025July 8th, 2025No Comments

It was such a joy to see a record number at the 2025 Summer Conference! So many of you told us how much you enjoyed the theme. We did as well! The work of classical Christian education is ultimately about the glory of God. As John Piper told us, if we labor, but Christ is not seen and savored above all, we are missing the highest aim of our calling. While we all work diligently with the best of motives, it is all too easy to drift, as Neil reminded us. Being among friends and fellow travelers with shared convictions and a diversity of gifts encourages us to be faithful and remember our calling, as Russ Ramsey illustrated beautifully. There are many idols and distractions that compete for our time and attention, as individuals and schools. Justin Earley reminded us, as did Angie and I, that we must make our practices align with our highest calling to make Christ preeminent. The work of formation must begin in our hearts before we can commend them to those we teach.ย

The classical Christian movement is at an exciting time. We are thankful to see the ways in which God is moving so clearly in the U.S. and around the world. It is our desire to see your school secure the resources and support you need to be an enduring, thriving school for generations. This is one of our passions and strategic pillars – institution building.ย

We also want to see more families receive the transformative experience of a classical Christian education, so we have committed to helping schools replicate, while retaining the core of their mission. We have launched a project, a Generations Campaign, to exponentially grow the number of classical Christian schools. Look for more information about this soon. Finally, we long to see the full fruit of classical Christian education as our graduates step into the worldโ€”serving others, advancing shalom, and contributing to human flourishing in their communities. To that end, we are partnering with organizations that actively advocate for and uphold the ideals at the heart of our movement.

If you have not completed the conference survey, we ask that you do so soon. Your feedback is important to us as we continue to refine the experience for you in the coming years. Next year, we will be in Dallas again where we will consider the theme of Generosity.

We look forward to connecting with you this coming school year through our Pathway Services โ€“ the range of offerings, events, and resources we provide to help your school thrive. We encourage you to connect through membership and join hundreds of others schools seeking to make Christ preeminent in this work. We are praying for you and hope you all experience Godโ€™s blessing and rest this summer.ย
